Spaces in space: Irregularly distributed bays, extending into the street area and pervading the exterior facade, form theatrical cubes for the inside and the outside world with corresponding varying insights and outlooks.
They provide the stages for sparkling multimedia installations created by artist Arne Quinze. For Swarovski Wien the Belgian created four “Japanese Stilthouses”, combining the excitement of architecture, art and design and reflecting on the architectural imprints of human development.
The “future houses” parody the contemporary human way of life, isolated, without interaction with others. At the same time they manifest the wish for open communication in a human environment.
